Welcome to The Attic Learning Community!  

The Attic was founded 25 years ago by educators committed to creating a learning community in which children are truly engaged and inspired, and where they partner with their teachers to explore their interests, ignite their passions, create, invent and discover together. The Attic’s constructivist approach to education ties learning to the readiness of the child, allowing children to move at their own pace and to go as far and as deep as their interests take them. Attic teachers are facilitators of the learning process, honoring learners’ questions and modeling a passion for lifelong learning.  

The Attic is a unique and special community of learners. Every day we witness the benefits of our multi-age environment. From the playground to the classroom, children of all ages regularly work and play together, building a sense of leadership, responsibility, kindness and empathy.
